Meet Your Trainer!

About Kristina Allen

👋 Hi, I’m Kris

Certified dog trainer with a background in professional dog photography. Connection over correction advocate. Proud lab owner. Based in Worcestershire.

The Mojo Method was born from one very special dog — our lockdown Labrador, Mojo.
What started as a simple wish to understand her better quickly became something much bigger: a passion for helping people truly connect with their dogs. Through every challenge, breakthrough, and muddy walk, Mojo taught me that good training isn’t about control or obedience — it’s about communication, trust, and shared understanding.

The Mojo Method grew from that belief — that when we learn to speak our dog’s language, everything changes. My goal is to help owners not just manage behaviour, but build a relationship based on confidence, clarity, and genuine connection.

“I can’t recommend Kristina enough — she is the only person you want to train your dog! She helps you understand how they think, and gives you the skills to carry on the training once your sessions with her end, she’s simply the best!”

Where it began…

Before dog training, I worked as a professional dog photographer. I loved capturing special moments with my camera lens, but my fascination around the way they communicate without saying a word grew rapidly. A lot of my job became about reading a dogs body language, helping them and their owners understand what I needed from them to get the shot, and knowing when a dog was telling me it was stressed and needed a break.

That’s when I retrained and became a certified dog trainer through the Dog Training College. I now help other dog owners build the same calm, connected relationship I’ve worked hard to create with Mojo, and all the other dogs I had the privilege of having in front of my lens

What I’ve Done

  • I combine clicker training with canine communication to bring calm, connection, and clarity to every session

    • Founded The Mojo Method, a calm, connection-based dog training approach

    • Founded Walkies With Kris,a solo dog walking service with a certified dog trainer

    • Helped dozens of dogs (and their humans) feel more confident, relaxed, and in sync

    • Featured in The Guardian for photography

Whether behind the camera or lead, my passion has always been understanding connection — and capturing it in its truest form.

  • Alongside training, I run a local dog walking business, supporting families with busy schedules. It gives me daily, real-world, hands on experience with dogs of all breeds, personalities, and energy levels — from nervous rescues to bouncy puppies!

Meet the family…

When I’m not walking or training Worcestershire’s best dogs, you’ll probably find me out in the woods walking with my own dogs, or spending time with my family and friends.

My family have two labradors (or labradorables, as I like to call them), Mojo and Mabel…

Mojo came to us first. She was my main focus in lockdown, and quite honestly I couldn’t have got through it without her. She kept me going, every single day she got me out of the house on a walk and together we spent so many hours in the woods with my camera…

Mabel joined us a year later. Mojo is technically Mabel’s Auntie, and boy, can you tell! They bonded straight away and cannot be without each other. Whilst they are both very different personality-wise, they come as a pair, and I wouldn’t have it any other way!

My Mission

With The Mojo Method, my mission is to help owners truly understand how their dogs think, feel, and learn — so they can communicate in a way their dogs understand.

When we bridge that gap in communication, harmony naturally follows. My goal is to make training feel like teamwork, helping you build calm, confident connections with your dog that last a lifetime.

Elmarie & Bumper —

“We can’t thank Kris enough for the work she’s done with our husky, Bumper. He’s always been full of energy and a real handful on the lead, and honestly, I never thought calm walks would be possible for us. But Kris handled him with such ease and confidence — Bumper responded straight away. Thanks to her training, our walks are now relaxed and enjoyable, and we finally feel in control. Kris really understands dogs and knows exactly how to bring out the best in them. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her to anyone with a high-energy breed!”
